We work with you and your current systems, getting them to share data so your team saves time and nothing gets entered twice.
Database development tailored to your needs. We can build you a database for a new application or integrate with your existing database systems. No more frustration with performance or support.
Something else in mind? Ask us
More businesses are asking what AI could do for them. We build AI into your software and the systems you already use, shaped around the way your team works.
We're open about what AI can and can't do. If a simple form or report will do the job better, we'll tell you.

Working with Code Forge has been a standout experience. Their end-to-end support turned the shell of an idea into a fully realised, high-quality solution. The team is not only highly skilled but also deeply collaborative, bringing creativity, technical expertise, and a genuine problem-solving mindset to every stage. We wouldn't hesitate to work with them again.
I've worked with Josh and the Code Forge team for over a decade, and they've been my go-to software agency. They've delivered major data, software, and web projects across the automotive retail and health insurance industries. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and clear communication ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
Josh and the team at Code Forge have been pivotal in bringing LiveMine to where we are today. When we reached the limits of our first product, we engaged them to rebuild the platform for our next stage of growth. They took the time to understand our needs, built a scalable foundation, and guided us through every step of the process. That solid groundwork has set us up for long-term success; our in-house team now builds confidently on it, and we still turn to Code Forge for ongoing support and overflow work.

Working together, all the way through
Collaboration runs through every other step. We listen to your requirements, pain points and problems, talk solutions through with you and ask for your feedback on everything from plans and prototypes to testing.
Planning and prototyping
We design interactive prototypes you can see and click around yourself, and write a software requirements specification for the project. Whenever a new feature or out-of-scope request comes up mid-project, it comes back here to be planned and prototyped first.
Development, testing and deployment
The techy side of software, and the part we're experts in, so you don't have to be. We write clean, testable code, test it automatically and deploy continuously, so new features and fixes reach you quickly.
On repeat
We started in 2023 in an office shared with LiveMine, working right next to them for our first three years. In April 2026, we moved into an office of our own, just a few streets away.
We're still a small team, and tech nerds through and through. We'd be tinkering with software and computers even if nobody paid us, so we count ourselves lucky that it's our job. Better still, every problem you bring us puts all that tinkering to good use.

Boss
Joshua has been at the helm of Code Forge since it started in 2023, but he's been building software since 2007. He's tackled all sorts of problems, from traceability systems for mining construction projects to custom integrations and more SQL Server databases than he'd care to count.
That experience shapes how we work: he'd rather learn the best tool for the job than stick with the ones he knows, and if you're taking an app to market, he'll happily explain why it should be native.
What he enjoys most about Code Forge is that no two projects are the same, so every new problem makes the next build better. The urge to build doesn't stop at work, either. He'd sooner make something himself than buy it off the shelf, whether it's software, a piece of furniture or a fix around the house. And when he does put the tools down, he's either deep in a game or breakdancing.

Developer
Cameron joined the team in 2020, before we were even called Code Forge, which makes him our longest-serving developer. His background is in mathematics and computer science, and he has the analytical mind to match.
He loves the variety. Working on every part of an app, for all kinds of businesses, keeps him learning about new industries and switching between roles.
Outside of work, Cameron instils fear in his squash and table tennis opponents. He's got a keen ear for classical music as well, playing both the piano and cello. His latest interest is the Steam Frame, which (fun fact) is his first foray into video games.

Developer
Matthew came on board in late 2023, and he's no stranger to a conversation: almost four years in call centres before university gave him a knack for asking the right questions and getting on with people. Mobile apps were a big interest all through his degree and his first two software jobs, one at a startup and one at a consultancy. Starting out as a big cog in a small machine taught him to own his work, stay practical and set a high bar.
He's involved from start to finish, but his favourite parts are the first and the last: asking a client what they need, then hearing straight from them that the software is pulling its weight for a local business.
Matthew's a keen gardener with a soft spot for cacti, which he propagates himself. His taste in music runs to anything with a hint of drum and bass, hip hop or jazz, preferably live. He's a tinkerer too, whether it's VR, smart home systems or 3D printing.

Developer
Nathan got his first taste of life at Code Forge in 2024, when he interned with us in his penultimate year of university. Starting out in front-end development, he quickly fell for UI/UX design.
After graduating, he set off around the world with just a backpack, in search of various sketchy activities. A lover of the outdoors, he's been scuba diving, climbing volcanoes and relaxing in the backcountry.
In 2026, Nathan returned to us (in one piece) as a developer, and now uses his creative eye to lead design and UI/UX development at Code Forge. He makes sure the software we build is easy and pleasant for everyone to use. With a background in sales, he puts clients first and works closely with them to get the design right.

One comes first. The rest shape how we work with you, and with each other.
Comes first
Of everything we value, this is the one we emphasise most. Before anything else, we make sure we understand you and your business.
We don't get ahead of ourselves. We stay calculated and organised, and the doing only starts once the thinking's done.
Did you notice the client logos up top are in alphabetical order? Probably not. We did it anyway.
Check for yourselfWe believe in continuous improvement, and we measure ourselves against the best we can do.
Keep learning. We're committed to improving our own knowledge and capabilities, and we like keeping up with new tools and technologies.
Ask for help. We like a good problem, but we don't waste time when we could ask for help.
Take ownership. When we see an opportunity to improve the way we work, we act on it rather than waiting to be asked.
Share what we know. We're friendly, and we enjoy sharing knowledge and ideas.
Disagree with respect. We value disagreement, as long as we keep our respect for one another.
Admit what we don't know. Nobody knows everything. We say so when we don't, and never put anyone down for not knowing.
Look after ourselves. That means keeping a healthy work-life balance.
We are detail-oriented people. Send us a brief description of your requirements so we can go through them before our first meeting.
